About the Triangular Numbers

The Tetraktys contains the Numbers 1, 3, 6 and 10. These numbers are called Triangular Numbers.

The number 21 is also a Triangular Number because it is the Sum of the Sixth Level of the Tetraktys, the Numbers 1 to 6.

The Fifth Level of the Tetractys is related to the Number 15 (1+2+3+4+5). This number connects the Tetractys and the Sephirot to the 3×3 Lo Shu Magic Square also called the Seal of Saturn.

The nth Triangle number T(n) is the number of dots in a triangle with n dots on a side; it is the sum of the n natural numbers from 1 to n. T(n)=n(n+1)/2.

The Triangular Numbers contain the Perfect Numbers. A perfect number is a positive integer that is equal to the sum of its proper positive divisors, that is, the sum of its positive divisors excluding the number itself. Six (1+2+3=1x2x3) is the first Perfect Number and 28 (1+2+4+7+14) is the next.

The Sum of two Triangular Numbers is a Square

The Sum of two adjacent Triangular Numbers T(n) + T(n+1) is a Square Number because Two Triangels can be combined in a Square. 1+3=2**2 and 3+6=3**2.

There are many relationships between the Triangular Numbers. These relationships were the focus of the research of the Mystical Group of the Mathematikoi of Pythagoras.

6 (Bereshit, the Cube, the Hexagram) + the 22 Letters of the Hebrew Alphabet = 28, the Next Perfect Number (1+2+3+4+5+6+7).

28 is like the numbers 6 and 15 also a Hexagonal Number. As you can see in the picture below 28 is the fourth Hexagonal Number. As we have seen before a Hexagon is a Projection of a Cube so 28 represents a Cube in a Cube in a Cube. A Cube in a Cube is called a Tessarect or a HyperCube.

The first sentence in Genesis (“In the beginning Elohim created Heaven and Eearth“) contains 7 words and 28 letters. This indicates that the Creation Process was already in the 7th stage of the Tetraktys and in its 2nd Fractal Expansion, the Birth of the Material Universe.

The sum of the entire verse is the 73^rd Triangular Number. The prime Numbers 37 and 73 are geometrically related. They form the third and the fourth term in the sequence of Star Numbers (1, 13, 37, 73, 121).

Hexagon/Star pairs are closely related to Triangular numbers. Their product is always a Triangle, and they can be symmetrically generated from a Pair of Triangles.

About Pascal’s Triangle

When a number represents a Geometric Structure it is called a Figurative Number.

Every possible figurative number is generated by the Triangle of Pascal.

The Fractal Sierpinsky Triangle is the Triangle of Pascal Modulo 2.

The Triangle of Pascal was known long before Pascal (re)discovered it.

It was known in Ancient India as the Meru Prastara and in China as the Yang Hui. Meru Prastara relates the triangel to a Mystical Mountain called Mount Meru. Mount Meru is also implemented in the Sri Yantra.

The Triangle shows the Coefficients of the Function F(X,Y))= (X+Y)**n. If n=0 F(X,Y)=1 and if n=1 F(X,Y)=X+Y so the Coeffcients are (1,1).

Pascals Triangle is a 2-Dimensional System based on the Polynomal (X+Y)**N. It is always possible to generalize this structure to Higher Dimensional Levels. 3 Variables ((X+Y+X)**N) generate The Pascal Pyramid and n variables (X+Y+Z+….)**N generate The Pascal Simplex.

The rows of the Pascal’s Triangle add up to the power of 2 of the row. So the sum of row 0 is 2**0 and the sum of row 1 is 2**1 =2.

The Sum of the rows of the higher n-dimensional versions of the Triangle is n**N where n is the Amount of Variables and N the level of expansion. So the Sum of Pascal’s Pyramid (3 variables X,Y,Z) is 3**N.

The most interesting property of the Triangle is visible in the Diagonals.

The First Diagonal contains only 1′s. The Ones represent Unique Objects. They are the Points in the Tetraktys.

The Second Diagonal contains the natural numbers. These Numbers are used to Count Objects that are The Same. The Natural Numbers are the Lines that connect the Points. The Natural Numbers are the Sum of the previous Ones.

The Third Diagonal contains the triangular numbers. The Triangular Numbers are the Sum of the previous Natural Numbers.

This pattern repeats itself all the time.

The Yang Hui is an ancient Chinese version of the Triangle of Pascal. This Triangle contains Nine (3×3) Levels.

The Fourth Diagonal contains the tetrahedral numbers (Pyramid Numbers) and the Fifth Diagonal, the pentatope numbers.

Gematria or gimatria (Hebrew: גימטריה‎, gēmaṭriyā) is a system of assigning numerical value to a word or phrase, in the belief that words or phrases with identical numerical values bear some relation to each other, or bear some relation to the number itself as it may apply to a person’s age, the calendar year, or the like. The word “gematria” is generally held to derive from Greek geōmetriā, “geometry”, which was used a translation of gēmaṭriyā, though some scholars believe it to derive from Greek grammateia, rather; it’s possible that both words had an influence on the formation of the Hebrew word.[1] It has been extant in English since the 17th century from translations of works by Giovanni Pico della Mirandola. Although ostensibly derived from Greek, it is largely used in Jewish texts, notably in those associated with the Kabbalah. The best-known example of Gematria is the Hebrew word Chai (“life”), which is composed of two letters which add up to 18. This has made 18 a “lucky number” among Jews, and gifts in multiples of $18 are very common among Jews. Some identify two forms of gematria: the “revealed” form, which is prevalent in many hermeneutic methods found throughout Rabbinic literature, and the “mystical” form, a largely Kabbalistic practice.[2] Though gematria is most often used to calculate the values of individual words, psukim (Biblical verses), Talmudical aphorisms, sentences from the standard Jewish prayers, personal, angelic and Godly names, and other religiously significant material, Kabbalists use them often for arbitrary phrases and, occasionally, for various languages. A few intances of gematria in Arabic, Spanish and Greek, spelled with the Hebrew letters, are mentioned in the works of Rabbi Abraham Abulafia[3]; some Hasidic Rabbis also used it, though rarely, for Yiddish[4]. However, the primary language for gematria calculations has always been and remains Hebrew and, to a lesser degree, Aramaic.

Finding numerical relationships between words and phrases Within the earliest Jewish traditions, groups of Jewish scholars counted the number of times each letter appeared in the Scriptures (as well as the number of words, verses, paragraphs, etc.). These textual specialists were called Soferim (counters). The Soferim ensured that every Torah scroll (and the other books of the Tanakh) were identical, noting any unusual words and spellings and replicating them exactly through their scribal arts. Many Jews believe that Ezra the Scribe instituted many of the practices of the Soferim. In the medieval mystical text called Sefer Yitzirah: The Book of Creation, the letters of the Alphabet are described as the stones used to build a house. They are called the “twenty two letters of foundation.” This doctrine highlights the belief in the essential relationship between letters, words and the creative process. Gematria is a type of numerological study that may be defined as one of more systems for calculating the numerical equivalence of letters, words, and phrases in a particular Hebrew text. These systems are used for the purpose of gaining insight into interrelating concepts and for finding correspondences between words and concepts. Although not identical, gematria is also in the same orbit as the so-called “Bible Codes” and “Equi-distant Letter Sequences” (ELS) that have become fashionable recently. According to most practitioners, there are several methods used to calculate the numerical value for individual words and phrases. When converted to a number, words/phrases can then be compared to other words/phrases and similarities drawn. I list the most common Hebrew gematria methods below.

This code is based on the old English alphabet of 24 letters. It is well-known and its use has been documented well back into the medieval period. One such example is a poem coming from a manuscript in the collection of Balliol College, Oxford (1). The numbers here spell out by means of gematria the letters I H E S U S (Jesus). In this case the poet provides a gloss on the poem to help the uninitiated, “this goth by the letters of the abse (A B C) as the letters stonde in nombre”. What he doesn’t gloss us on is the fact that the gematria total of his poem has an equally pious message entailed. The total value of the letters is 778: this implies that Jhesus is HKHN HGDVL – the Hebrew name of ‘The High Priest’. It also reminds the devotee that Jesus is the high priest of Εκκλησια Θεου – ‘The Church of God’ (2).

Gematria – Cryptic Numerology of the Cabala
The esoteric material presented on these pages involves the revelation of information which has been hidden. Throughout history, individuals and organisations have chosen to guard their secrets by various cryptic means and gematria is not only one of these, but arguably has the most distinguished provenance of any. Although gematria starts with the book of Genesis, was ubiquitous in the culture of the ancient Greeks and forms a blueprint for the foundation of Christianity, the main focus of this website concerns more recent history and the culture of the English speaking world. In particular, the gematria of English provides the key to unlocking many of the secret doctrines of the Freemasons and the true identity of the greatest writer in the English language, William Shakespeare.
What is Gematria?
The Oxford English Dictionary defines gematria as, “A cabbalistic method of interpreting the Hebrew Scriptures by interchanging words whose letters have the same numerical value when added.” This is actually a rather restrictive definition because gematria was every bit as important to other peoples in antiquity, and examples of its use are more common in the culture of classical Greece than in Judaism.
Hebrew and Greek are the two languages with which gematria has been traditionally associated and until now the gematria of other languages has not been on such a secure footing. On this website I demonstrate that English, with its origin in Latin script, is every bit as valid a language for gematria and that its heritage by this means is as rich as those of Hebrew and Greek. The only difference being that the gematria coding of English has been one of the best kept secrets of the English-speaking world.
How does it work?
Gematria works on the premise that the letters of the alphabet can also be used as numbers, and therefore words and phrases acquire distinctive numerical values. A well known example is that of God, whose name spelt in Hebrew, is IHVH (). The values of these four letters are 10 – 5 – 6 – 5, thus the ‘number of His name’ is 26. It follows from this, by means of numerical equivalence, that God is identifiable with AHBH and AChD – Love and Unity – because the letter values of these two words sum as 1 + 5 + 2 + 5 and 1 + 8 + 4 = 26.
Why the name Gematria?
Gematria is said to derive from the Greek word Γεωμετρια – meaning Geometry. It may also be compounded with the word Γραμμα – meaning Writing. The reason for the geometric connection is because the rules of sacred geometry play an important part in the secondary encoding of literary cabala. Isolated numbers, such as 26, have only limited utility: they are the words of the numerical language. The sentence structure, or grammar rules, derive from number patterns which are conformed according to the properties of ‘sacred’ geometry.
The Creator
We can consider, for example, a Vesica Piscis – one of the most important figures in sacred geometry. A vesica with a width of 26 – IHVH (the Creator), has a height of 45, which is the gematria value of the man he created ADM – Adam. The difference between God and man is 45 – 26 = 19. This is the value of the woman created as a companion for Adam, ChVH – ‘Eve’. In this way the sacred vesica defines the relationship between the Creator and mankind.
God’s primal act of creation is encapsulated by the first verse of Genesis. The Hebrew words here – BRAShITh BRA ALHIM ATh HShMIM VATh HARTz – have a value of 2701. Among the many interesting properties of this number is the fact that it comprises the sum of 26 squared (676) and 45 squared (2025) – hence the combination of God and Adam. This means that the 26 by 45 rectangle enclosing the vesica of creation has a diagonal of the square root of 2701.
In addition to this, the circle within which the rectangle may be precisely drawn has a circumference of 163, and by this means can symbolise that which was created: AaVLM HZH – ‘This World’. It is also a fact that the area of the rectangle is equal to that of a square with a perimeter of 139: the value of – GN ALHIM – the Garden of Eden. Furthermore, the difference between 2025 and 676, gives the value of GN ALHIM when the final letters N and M are counted high – 1349. At the same time, the area of the rectangle is equal to that of a circle with a radius of 19 – ChVH – Eve.

1 – Represents absolute singleness and unity (Ephesians 4:4–6; John 17:21, 22.)

2 – Represents the truth of God’s Word; for example, the law and prophets (John 1:45), two or three witnesses (2 Corinthians 13:1), and a sword with two edges (Hebrews 4:12). See Mark 6:7 and Revelation 11:3. It is also used 21 times in the books of Daniel and Revelation.

3 – Represents the Godhead/Trinity. The angels cry “Holy” three times to the triune God (Isaiah 6:3). See also Matthew 28:19 and 1 John 5:7, 8.

3 ½ – Represents rejection and apostasy. It is the dissection of seven, the perfect number. For 3-½ years, Elijah fled from persecution. Jesus was crucified at the end of a 3-½ year period. Stephen was the first Christian martyr, stoned at the end of 3-½ years of the apostles preaching amid persecution. There were 3-½ prophetic years when the church went underground during the Dark Ages, from 538 to 1798.

4 – Represents universal truth, as in the four directions (north, south, east, west) and the four winds (Matthew 24:31; Revelation 7:1; Revelation 20:8). In acts 10:11, a sheet with four corners symbolizes the gospel going to all the gentiles.

5 – Represents teaching. First, there are the five books of Moses. Second, Jesus taught about the five wise virgins and used five barley loaves used to feed the 5,000.

6 – Represents the worship of man, and is the number of man, signifying his rebellion, imperfection, works, and disobedience. It is used 273 times in the Bible, including its derivatives (e.g, sixth) and another 91 times as “threescore” or “60.” Man was created on the sixth day (Genesis 1:26, 31). See also Exodus 31:15 and Daniel 3:1.

The number is especially significant in the book Revelation, as “666” identifies the beast. “Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six” (Revelation 13:18).

7 – Represents perfection, and is the sign of God, divine worship, completions, obedience, and rest. The “prince” of Bible numbers, it is used 562 times, including its derivatives (e.g., seventh, sevens). (See Genesis 2:1–4, Psalm 119:164, and Exodus 20:8–11 for just a few of the examples.)

The number seven is also the most common in biblical prophecy, occurring 42 times in Daniel and Revelation alone. In Revelation there are seven churches, seven spirits, seven golden candlesticks, seven stars, seven lamps, seven seals, seven horns, seven eyes, seven angels, seven trumpets, seven thunders, seven thousand slain in a great earthquake, seven heads, seven crowns, seven last plagues, seven golden vials, seven mountains, and seven kings.

10 – Represents law and restoration. Of course, this includes the Ten Commandments found in Exodus 20. See also Matthew 25:1 (ten virgins); Luke 17:17 (ten lepers); Luke 15:8 (healing, ten silver coins).

12 – Represents the church and God’s authority. Jesus had 12 disciples, and there were 12 tribes of Israel. In Revelation 12:1, the 24 elders and 144,000 are multiples of 12. The New Jerusalem city has12 foundations, 12 gates 12 thousand furlongs, a tree with 12 kinds of fruit 12 times a year eaten by 12 times 12,000 or the 144,000. (See Revelation 21.)

40 – Represents a generation and times of testing. It rained for 40 days during the flood. Moses spent 40 years in the desert, as did the children of Israel. Jesus fasted for 40 days.

50 – Represents power and celebration. The Jubilee came after the 49th year (Leviticus 25:10), and Pentecost occurred 50 days after Christ’s resurrection (Acts 2).

70 – Represents human leadership and judgment. Moses appointed 70 elders (Exodus 24:1); The Sanhedrin was made up of 70 men. Jesus chose 70 disciples (Luke 10:1). Jesus told Peter to forgive 70 times 7.

666 – As mentioned, six represents the number of man; 666 represents the kingdom of man in opposition to God. 666 is a “triangular number,” as 36 is both its square and a triangular number (12 + 12+ 12 = 36). Moreover, 222 times 3 equals 666. Thus, 666 also symbolizes a counterfeit trinity. Some are very superstitious about the number 666 and have refused phone numbers, license plates, and credit cards containing it. This phobia is known as hexakosioihexekontahexaphobia. But we don’t have to be afraid of the number 666 itself. It is simply a natural number that follows 665 and proceeds 667. However, Revelation says, “Here is wisdom. 144,000 – Represents the last-day apostles. As Jesus had 12 leaders who shared the gospel at the time of His first coming, an army of 12 times 12,000 will be baptized in the Spirit to prepare the world for the second coming of Christ. Another interesting clue related to the 144,000 is found in 1 Chronicles 27: David’s army was comprised of 12 sets of 24,000, totaling 288,000; that was two armies of 144,000 who would alternate their service throughout the year. In 1 Chronicles 25, a literal group of “24 times 12” ( 288) Levities led in praise music of the temple (one for the day, one for the night) — half of 288 is 144.

The single digits are pretty self-explanatory. Once you grasp the meaning of each number, their significance in prophetic patterns usually becomes a lot clearer. The meaning of larger numbers can sometimes be seen in the combined meaning of the smaller numbers, and can also be multiplied to make the larger number. In many cases, the use of a larger number in the context of Scripture is clearer than the meaning of the smaller numbers combined, as seen below:

1 = Unity

2 = Union, division, or witness

3 = Complete or divine

4 = Number of creation

5 = Grace

6 = Number of man (2×3 = union or division x completeness)

7 = Perfection

8 = New beginning or renewal (2×4 = union x creation)

Note: The Book of Revelation was written in Greek and it was based in the Hellenic mysteries and directed to the Greek initiates where for example the number of the beast was based in Greek Gematria.

First, upon the weight of evidence furnished by its own contents the Book of Revelation may well be pronounced a pagan writing–one of the sacred books of the Eleusinian or Phrygian Mysteries. As a corollary, the real author of a work setting forth the profundities of Egyptian and Greek mysticism must have been an initiate himself and consequently obligated to write only in the symbolic language of the Mysteries. Daniel 11:36-39
“The king will do as he pleases. He will exalt and magnify himself above every god and will say unheard-of things against the God of gods. He will be successful until the time of wrath is completed, for what has been determined must take place.
He will show no regard for the gods of his ancestors or for the one desired by women, nor will he regard any god, but will exalt himself above them all.
Instead of them, he will honor a god of fortresses; a god unknown to his ancestors he will honor with gold and silver, with precious stones and costly gifts.
He will attack the mightiest fortresses with the help of a foreign god and will greatly honor those who acknowledge him. He will make them rulers over many people and will distribute the land at a price.

Note: Alexander recognized the Libyan God Ammon (who is Marduk) as his father and not the gods of his ancestors and he also commanded to rebuild the Etemenanki (tower of Babel) and he wanted to make Babylon the capital for his empire.
